How to Customize
Task:
Customizing the look of your AU Access home page.
How to do it:
AU Access can be customized to display the information that you want to
see and use each time you log in. You can change the way your AU Access
home page looks by editing its tabs and channels.
Tabs are located near the top of the web page and can be different for each person. The tabs you can see are dependent on your role at Auburn University. Some tabs can be renamed, moved, added, and removed.
Channels are topic-specific areas that provide easy access to information, applications, or other Web resources you might need. Channels are differentiated from each other by borders. Each channel has a title and a toolbar. The toolbar on each channel contains three buttons. Use these buttons to adjust the way your channels appear in AU Access:
- The full screen button will display the channel so that it fills
your computer screen.
- The minimize-maximize button will shrink the channel so that all you see is the title or maximize it so you can see all of its contents.
- The remove button will completely remove the channel from the tab it’s under. You can add it back if needed. (Note: all channels cannot be removed.)

You can begin to customize your AU Access web page by clicking the Content/Layout link in the upper left corner of the page.
