College of Education Study Abroad programs offer students a unique opportunity to broaden their perspectives and challenge their beliefs about global, political, educational and economic issues. Student experiences while abroad—whether studying or participating in a service-learning project—can positively influence future employers as well as enhance students' ability to work in a rapidly globalizing society. Within this section of our Web site are current study abroad opportunities—teacher-education internships and service-learning placements in more than 15 foreign countries on every continent except Antarctica. Currently, the College of Education participates in the Consortium for Overseas Student Teaching
(COST) program, which sends students around the world to complete their student-teaching internships. The college also leads study abroad opportunities to Australia, Costa Rica and South Korea. These opportunities are coordinated with the university's Study Abroad
program in the Office of International Education.
