• Application deadline for student participants

• Telephone discussions with participants to select topics for individual projects
• Enrollment of non-certified participants in basic scuba courses near their homes

• Students turn in short list of articles and begin to read and develop their hypotheses

• One month before travel
• Scuba courses to be completed by all non-certified participants
• Deadline for submission of trip forms (scuba, visa, medical, etc).
• Continued discussions as students refine hypotheses and develop research proposals

• Written research proposals due for individual student projects

• Departure to Jordan

• Written research reports due and grades assigned for AU summer session credits

• Deadline to submit initial post-trip evaluation forms

• Deadline for oral presentations by student participants to home institutions
