Auburn University People Finder Help
How to find someone in the Auburn University People Finder
Why you might not find someone you expect
What "User Class" tells youAll employees are listed as Staff, whether they are faculty, administrative, professional or staff. The User Class for a student is the program of study and consists of classification (e.g., FR for freshman) and major (e.g., AGEN for agricultural engineering). Two separate listings appear for a student who is also employed by AU, one as Student and the other as Staff. How to update your own listingStudents: OASIS provides students a way to update their local address and phone. Changes made in OASIS take effect in the People Finder the next business day. NOTE: Only the first line of the local address appears in the directory. If you have an apartment number, be sure to put it on the first line of the local address.Staff: Address and telephone number are maintained within each department by the person who handles payroll. Your e-mail address appears in the People Finder if you are registered with the mail forwarder. A legal name change is made by submitting an amended Personnel Action Form (PAF) along with a copy of the new Social Security card reflecting the name change to the Human Resources Office. For Both: If you have a personal Web page on Mallard, then a clickable link to its URL appears in your People Finder listing. If you have a Web page elsewhere you want the link to go instead, see Web Page Addresses (URLs) at Auburn University. Source of the information listed in the People FinderThe information listed in the University Directory is taken directly from shared data components housed on the IBM Mainframe. Student and faculty information is part of OASIS, the Online Auburn Student Information System. Changes made in OASIS are reflected the next business day in the University Directory. Other employees' information is part of the Human Resource Systems maintained by the Payroll & Benefits Office.
