Lambda Sigma Sophomore Honor Society Application

Dear Prospective Member:

Lambda Sigma is a national honor society for second year men and women
who have obtained a GPA of 3.0 or higher during their first semester at
Auburn.  Lambda Sigma offers opportunities for personal growth,
leadership experience, a sense of involvement on campus, and friendship
with other student leaders.  As a member of this group of outstanding
second year students you will be challenged to fulfill your own
intellectual and leadership potentials while serving the Auburn
community.
Our members' commitment to excellence in both our school and community
made Lambda Sigma the widely respected organization it is today.  Since
1976, under the unerring guidance of our former advisors, Dr. Joseph
Kicklighter, Mrs. Gail McCullers and Dr. Bill Buskist and our current
advisor, Mrs. Jane Teel, Pi Chapter at Auburn University has been a
leading force in the national organization of Lambda Sigma.  With the
longest streak among all chapters, Pi Chapter has been awarded Honor
Chapter status every year since Lambda Sigma's inception here in 1976. 


If you would like to find out more about Lambda Sigma and be considered
for membership, please attend the orientation meeting on Thursday,
February 13 at 6:00p.m. in room B6 of Dudley Hall.  Applications will be
available at this time as well as at the Foy Student Union Desk and on
the Lambda Sigma website at www.auburn.edu/lambdasigma.  Turn in the
completed application at Foy Student Union by Sunday February 23 at 7
p.m.  No applications will be accepted after 7 p.m.  Callbacks for
interviews will be posted on the Foy information board Monday March 10
at noon.  If you have any questions concerning the application or Lambda
