Dear Prospective Member,

Mortar Board is a prestigious honor society that recognizes outstanding
upcoming seniors who have made significant contributions to their
respective universities in the areas of scholarship, leadership,
involvement, and service.  In order to apply for membership, you must
have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and you must have
completed between 60 and 100 semester hours. 

Selection into this group is a great honor, but it comes with an
obligation as well.  The group cannot function without participation of
its members.  Attendance is necessary to have a successful year.  The
meetings are scheduled on Sunday nights around 8 or 9 p.m.  If you are
unable to attend these regular meetings, please do not apply.

If you are selected for membership in Mortar Board, please be aware
that your attendance will be mandatory at an initiation ceremony on the
evening of April 20.  Dues of $80 will be due at this time. 

Applications are available in the  Foy Union lobby.  Completed
applications are to be returned to the box in Foy no later than 5 p.m.
on Friday, February 7.  If you have any questions, please do not
