Message from Senator Lowell Barron

Dear Auburn Student,

Over the past several months, trustees have begun regular meetings with
students, faculty, administrators and alumni to better work together for
the common good of Auburn University. As part of this process, I had the
pleasure of meeting with your SGA Senate earlier this week.

The discussion and comments from your student leaders and others in
attendance were impressive.  I do not believe there is a university in
the SEC that has a finer group of students than Auburn University.  As I
told your SGA leaders, you and your education are among the primary
reasons why Auburn University exists.  In making decisions, it is vital
that we all keep the best interests of Auburn students at heart.  That
is what I have always done and will continue to do.

You have an excellent group of student leaders serving the Student
Government Association and I urge you to contact them regarding your
views on various issues facing Auburn.  Our board has a very open,
regular dialogue with them and it is one effective way to have your
voice heard.

In conclusion, I just wanted to thank you for what you are doing to
make Auburn great.  We have no stronger asset at Auburn than our student
body.  We look forward to continuing to communicate with you on an
ongoing basis.
