Important Information: Student Entry to Jordan-Hare Stadium

Dear Students:

 

You want to get to your seats in Jordan-Hare Stadium quickly. We want to help. That didn't happen for many of you last Saturday, and for that we apologize. We also want you to be secure and safe while you enjoy the game. 

 

In meetings involving Student Affairs, Public Safety and the Athletic Department this week, we took some very promising steps toward serving your needs:

 

* Gates will open earlier this Saturday (4:15 p.m.). Please arrive early. Kickoff is at 6:45 p.m. If you get to the stadium early, you should be at your seat before War Eagle VI flies.

 

* Gates 7 and 8 will be "express" gates for students who are traveling light. We have arranged an extra gate for students carrying handbags. They will be admitted through Gate 6.

 

Security policies have changed.

 

Items permitted in the stadium are: chair-back stadium seats, soft seat cushions, small cameras, small purses or handbags, small Walkman-type radios with headphones, binoculars, cell phones and pagers. Personal defense sprays such as pepper and mace are permitted.

 

Items prohibited in the stadium are: backpacks, video cameras, recording devices, artificial noisemakers, umbrellas, coolers, alcoholic beverages or weapons.

 

We hope this ensures you an easier entry into the stadium. Thank you for your continued cooperation and good sportsmanship.
