Requests should be submitted at least 3 days in advance of need
Step 1: Prepare the course
- If the course does not have student data, go to Step 2.
- If the course does have student data:
- Log into Blackboard Toolkit
- Create a new version of the course in the Blackboard Institution (top of toolkit form)
- Log into Blackboard after the course is created
- Setup the new course using Copy Content option (second option on Setup Course screen)
- Select the course from the list on the next screen
- Check new course for accuracy once it is set up
Step 2: In the Blackboard Toolkit: https://oitapps.auburn.edu/blackboardtoolkit/pgLogin.aspx
At the bottom, create a course in the AU Access Development Course area. Please include the word “transfer” in the title. If you have all ready created a course in AU Access Blackboard development, you may skip this step.

Step 3: Send a request to transfer the course to blackboard@auburn.edu. Your request MUST include the following information (Copy & Paste into e-mail, please):
Your name
Your college
Your department
Your AU Username
Blackboard Course number (this must be a course without student info; see step 1)
AU Access Blackboard course (name and number)
Please send only 1 (one) request per email.
Transfer will create a new section (clearly labeled “transfer”). you will be notified when the move is completed, and instructions for completing the transfer/setting up the Banner-created section will be included with the notification.
