The Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C) is an institutional and professional leadership organization dedicated to integrating online education into the mainstream of higher education, helping institutions and individual educators improve the quality, scale, and breadth of online education. Sloan-C supports the collaborative sharing of knowledge and effective practices to improve online education in learning effectiveness, access, affordability for learners and providers, and student and faculty satisfaction.

So that use of the limited resources may be fairly distributed across the institution, and so that we can track institutional use of SLOAN-C resources, Dr. McClelland will administer conference and workshop discounts.

The discount code for publications will be shared with any AU faculty or staff member who has a SLOAN-C membership; contact Dr. McClelland.

Account Set-Up and Log-in Instructions

Every person at the institution is considered a member, but each needs their own Sloan-C account log-in and password. If you do not have an account already, please register:

1. Register your account at http://sloanconsortium.org/user/register
2. Once you click on the “Create New Account” button, you will be automatically brought to your “Account Profile” page.
3. Please fill out whatever information you’d like on that page, the most important information being your organization. This will affiliate your account with your institution.
4. Click on “Save” at the bottom and the system will now recognize you as a member.

If you have an account already, please log in to www.sloanconsortium.org and your username will appear in the upper right hand corner of the page. Click on your username and you will be brought to your “My Account” page where you can edit your profile to make sure you are associated with your institution.
