The move from Blackboard to Canvas is almost complete. Please remember that you will not have access to your Blackboard courses after Dec. 18, 2012. You will NOT be able to migrate from Blackboard to Canvas after Dec. 18. You’ll need to copy Blackboard courses to Canvas or download course files sometime in the next three weeks.
What about courses in Blackboard that aren’t set up in Canvas yet? How can I move them?
If you are teaching the course during Fall 2012 or Spring 2013, you can copy your content from Blackboard into Canvas now. If you are not teaching the course until Summer 2013 or later, please contact IMG; we’ll arrange for a course space to move those courses into so you won’t lose them.
Deadline for requesting IMG copy courses for you: Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, 4:45 pm.
Please send specific information - which course (4letters/4numbers), which section, which term – you’d like to have copied to Canvas to
IMG@auburn.edu .
Remember, too: You can download files from Blackboard and use them to set up a new course in Canvas later.
IMG is offering workshops on migrating from Blackboard and on starting from scratch in December and will be offering them in early January. Please see this page for dates, times, and registration information: https://fp.auburn.edu/IMG/SummerReg/seminars.aspx . Individual assistance is also available. IMG is open from 7:45 through 4:45 Monday through Friday. And, all of Auburn’s Canvas help for faculty can be found here: http://www.auburn.edu/img/canvas/help/teachers/index.html . On the website, we offer help videos specific to Auburn, plus videos provided by Instructure covering the basics of each tool.
