Colloquiums
col·lo·qui·um Pronunciation: \ke-lō-kwē-um\ usually an academic meeting at which specialists deliver addresses on a topic or on related topics and then answer questions relating to them.
The Colloquiums were created by Graduate School and are run by the Graduate School Dean(s), The GSC assists in the planning of these. Colloquiums are led by different speakers from various departments on-campus
Graduate Student Appreciation Week
Usually held in the spring semester of every year, the GSC holds a host of events for graduate students including a student awards picnic and breakfast for students
Graduate Scholars Forum
Since 1992, the Auburn University Graduate School has hosted its annual Graduate Scholars Forum. The Forum gives students a chance to showcase their hard-work and passion in their fields of study. The categories of research range from the humanities, design and sciences.
Senate/Grad Hall Meeting
Senate/Grad Hall meetings are open to all graduate students and facilitated by the GSC and are a way for graduate students to meet others outside of their departments and or actively voice new ideas and ways for to better graduate student services.
Tiger Byte
Tiger Byte is new university facilitated online communications tool that’s open to all students to blog, meet people, promote events and inform graduate students of social and academic opportunities that they may deem important. Utilize Tiger Byte and “sync your teeth into graduate school.”
