Chapter 30,32, and 1606 VA Benefits
 
Chapter 30,32, and 1606 VA Benefits using benefits for the first time are required to complete the following: Forms can be printed from VA web site www.vba.va.gov/pubs/educationforms.htm  .
  • VA Form 22-1990 - Application for VA Educational Benefits
  • Chapters 30 & 32 provides school VA office with an original copy of your DD 214, number 4 copy Chapter 1606 National Guard/ Reservist provide
  • Chapter 1606, National Guard/ Reservist, provide school VA office with an original copy of your Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE).
Transfer Student with Chapter 30,32 and 1606 VA Educational Benefits
Chapter 30,32 and 1606 students attending Auburn for the first time but have used their benefits at another school, college or university are required to complete the following: 
Starting Chapter 31 VA Educational Benefits

Chapter 31 Disabled Veterans must contact the Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office to start benefits:

The students assigned VA Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor will provide Auburn's VA Office with VA Form 28-1905
 
First Time Applying for Chapter 35, Survivor's & Dependent's Educational Assistance Program
 
Chapter 35 students using these benefits for the first time are required to complete the following: Forms can be printed from VA web site www.vba.va.gov/pubs/educationforms.htm  .
  • VA Form 22-5490 - Application for Survivors and Dependent's Education Assistance.
  • Provide the Auburn VA Office with a copy of your Certification of Eligibility from the Department of Veterans Affairs if one has been provided the student.
  • Complete various school related required forms. 
Transfer Student with Chapter 35 VA Educational Benefits
Chapter 35 students attending Auburn for the first time but have used their benefits at another school, college or university are required to complete the following:
Request for change of Address/Cancellation of Direct Deposit
