Your initial award notification reflects the academic year only (fall and spring terms). Summer awards are reviewed separately during summer term registration. Students must register for summer classes prior to review of summer aid eligibility. Students who use their annual aid limits for fall and spring semester are not eligible for aid the following summer.
Effective July 1, 2007, the annual Stafford loan limits for freshmen and sophomores will increase to $3500 and $4500 respectively. These increased loan limits cannot be disbursed until after July 1, 2007. As with all Stafford funds, students must enroll at least half time and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards. To be eligible for these increased loan limits, you must be enrolled for a summer session that meets after July 1. Therefore, students enrolled ONLY in the Summer 1 session that ends June 23 and/or the Summer 2 session that ends June 30 will NOT be eligible for these funds.
If the loan or combination of other financial aid does not meet or exceed charges, students are required to pay the difference by the due date or schedules will be canceled.
