  • FAFSA on the Web 
    This is required to determine your eligibility for federal aid programs.
  • KHEAA - Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority 
    KHEAA is our student loan partner for all Stafford and Parent Loans processed effective Fall 2001. Visit this site to complete your Entrance and Exit Interviews, and MPN requirements.

    • Entrance Interview
      Students must complete the Entrance Counseling requirement before Stafford Loan funds can be disbursed. KHEAA is our student loan partner for all Stafford and Parent Loans. Investing in Your Future, KHEAA's online student loan entrance counseling, provides details about what a student loan is, advice on how much you should borrow, and when you should expect to repay your loans.  To complete Entrance Counseling, visit KHEAA Online  .  After your data is submitted, KHEAA will notify our office electronically within 24-48 hours that you have completed the requirement.  
    • Exit Interview
      During the term that you expect to graduate, you will be asked to complete an Exit Interview if you have had a Stafford or Direct student loan while at AU. To complete the Exit Interview Requirement, visit KHEAA Online  . At this time, information regarding your rights and responsibilities relative to the repayment of your loan will be provided. When your grace period ends and your loan becomes due, you will be sent a repayment schedule from your lender outlining the monthly principal and interest payments and number of months required to repay your loan balance. It is very important to notify your lender of address changes so that you will receive your repayment information.   

    • ESign MPN   You will be required to sign a Master Promissory Note (MPN) prior to your funds disbursing to your account.  After you have accepted your Stafford Loan, you will be notified by KHEAA that your MPN is ready to sign.  When you ESign, you will be asked to select a lender.  Lists of lenders that participate with AU are listed below:

    This site is useful for estimating your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) to determine financial need. 

  • Federal Student Aid 
    This is the US Department of Education's Federal Student Aid site.
     

  • Finaid.org 
    The Financial Aid Information Page provides a free, comprehensive, independent, and objective guide to student financial aid including financial aid estimators and calculators.

  • National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) 
    Students may access this site to review financial aid history. You must have an EAC code, which you may request on the site, in order to access your data.

  • Selective Service System 
    If you are a male (US Citizen) aged 18 to 26, to be eligible for financial aid programs you must be registered with Selective Service. It's the law.

  • Tax Benefits Guide 
    This page provides information about the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997, including the Hope Scholarship (not to be confused with the Georgia Hope Scholarship), Lifetime Learning tax credits, and deductible student loan interest.

  • National Student Loan Clearinghouse
    The National Student Loan Clearinghouse  will help you locate your lender. 

  • Direct Loan Servicing
    Direct Loan Servicing   provides individual account information, account management, FAQ, and downloadable forms. This site is applicable for Direct Loans borrowed while at Auburn University Fall 1995 thru Summer 2001.
