Dear Rushee,

On behalf of the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta, I would like to congratulate you on your decision to attend Auburn University . In the next four years you will experience some of the most memorable and influential events of your life. The transition you will go through will give you a chance to grow in many ways. I believe Phi Gamma Delta will help the transition go along much smoother. Our fraternity promotes good character, strong work ethic, and friendships that last for a lifetime. With a mixture of academic excellence and a great social life, your chance for an incredible college experience awaits.

Diversity is an attribute in which we take much pride. We have guys from all parts of the United States; some involved on campus, some involved in the community, some involved in sports, some that study all the time, and some that just like to hang out. But it is the brotherhood that brings us all together and makes us one. I believe our reputation speaks for itself. Thank you for taking time to check us out. Please come to our summer rush parties and to formal rush in the fall to meet us personally and get a first-hand taste of what we stand for. Feel free to give me or the Assistant-Rush Chairman a call or e-mail me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Jarrod Norman
Rush Chairman

Why Us?

Phi Gamma Delta is not merely a fraternity; we are a group of young men bonded together through brotherhood. Our strength lies in our diversity and therefore we rely on ideas and contributions from all of our members. Our fraternity offers young men an opportunity to meet new people, excel academically, and share personal growth. We strive to build friendship based on brotherhood. This friendship rises above any social or intellectual differences that we may have, and exemplifies the meaning of the word “brotherhood.”

We Believe…

The choice of a fraternity is a very serious and important decision in life; one that should be made only after considering all the factors involved. We do not believe that a person should make a decision based on second-hand information.

That is Why…

At the fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta, you will not encounter any high-pressure tactics. During rush we try to get to know you, the rushee, in order to determine how you can benefit the chapter. We encourage you to be objective in your decision and not to hesitate to ask any questions you may have.

Other Advantages…

There are other great reasons that make being a brother in Phi Gamma Delta better than at any other fraternity. One great thing about Phi Gam is our house location. Located just across from the library, you can always get some study time free from any distractions. The house is also located just few minutes from Jordan-Hare Stadium, which is very convenient on gamedays. We tailgate at the house with a live band and tons of food and then make the short walk to the stadium before kick-off! Auburn’s lively downtown is also located within walking distance from the house, something that old-row and new-row fraternities can't claim. Our house location has been unchanged and makes getting to classes or any other place in the heart of Auburn easy to get to.

Another great privilege of being a brother in Phi Gamma Delta is our great meal plan. We have the most meals per week than any other fraternity. With breakfast served Monday-Friday, lunch served everyday of the week, and dinner Monday-Thursday, being a FIJI means being well-fed. A salad bar is also served with every lunch and dinner. Our Director of Food Services, Luther D. Ford, has been with us for 19 years and is a favorite among faculty, staff and especially sororities here at Auburn. Our meal plan is so good that it is available to anyone in the summer and the Auburn football team can be seen regularly at the FIJI house in the summer. Luther and his assistant Miss Louis make sure we are taken care of and we appreciate it very much.
