In order to be able to view the Tiff files:

1. Get to the website where the files are listed
2. Click on the file that you want to look at
3. This may trigger a plug in that comes up saying : do you want to download the file
Or
You may see a line of squares on the top of the screen and nothing else.

Either way: once you've clicked on the file you need to save it to your hard drive.

If you are in Netscape/ Internet explorer click on 'File' in the menu bar and save the file to your hard drive. Make sure you remember where you saved it (the path) on your hard drive. Repeat the process for all the files that you want and then log off.

Now, most computers come with some kind of a graphics viewer. When you go into the directory and click on any of the files that you saved, you should be able to activate a viewer, usually paintshop. Given below are some links to downloading plug ins for web browsers. Please note these are sites that should help you in your pursuit of software and happiness but like much else in life, there are no certainties. If you still need help send email to svarma@mindspring.com

Be sure to include the EXACT message that you see on the screen and also please try the above strategy to see if it works for you BEFORE sending me email.

PDF files:

This is a file format that is used by Adobe and it retains the formatting for documents across platforms as well as browsers. The files tend to be somewhat smaller, however you have to download the plug in to be able to read OR print this file type. The plug in may be downloaded free of charge from the Acrobat site at:
