Admission Requirements
Graduate School Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 15 semester credits in 7000/8000 level courses
- A minimum of 21 semester credits in the major area
- A minimum of 24 semester credits taken at Auburn
- The general
admissions requirements for this program are set by the Auburn University
Graduate School.
- Your statement of purpose. This is also a departmental requirement.

Degree Requirements
- Master of Industrial and Systems Engineering available with:
- 30 semester hours of course work of which 18 hours are from
a set of core courses.
- Nine hours of electives
- Three-hour design project
Equipment Requirements
- Students are required to have either a Personal Computer or Laptop
(Celeron 1.0 GHz minimum/ Pentium 4 1.5 GHz desired). CDROM drive required/DVD
drive suggested
- Students must have access to the Internet (dial up minimum, high
speed suggested)
- Course materials are delivered in DVD-R format, therefore students
must have access to a DVD player\drive on which to view the course
videos.
Other Requirements
- Each candidate must pass an on-campus final examination covering the
course work taken for this degree.
- The Graduate School allows you 5 years from the time of admittance to
complete the degree program.
