Requirements

Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must meet admission requirements for both the MBA and MISE programs. However, you may begin your studies in either the MBA or MISE program and then join the dual masters program at a later time.
  • Applicants may be admitted to both colleges through the use of either the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) OR the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
  • The general admissions requirements for this program are set by the Auburn University Graduate School.

Degree Requirements

  • Graduate School Minimum Requirements:
    • A minimum of 15 semester credits in 7000/8000 level courses.
    • A minimum of 21 semester credits in the major area.
    • A minimum of 24 semester credits taken at Auburn.
  • Master of Business Administration and Master of Industrial and Systems Engineering dual degrees are available with a total of 54 credit hours:
    • 39 semester hours of course work, including three hours for a Master's Project
    • Nine hours of electives
    • Six-hour design project

Other Requirements

  • Students with less than two years of work experience are required to complete an internship with an approved company. Students with acceptable experience will substitute two additional electives for the internship requirement.
  • The Graduate School allows you 5 years from the time of admittance to complete the degree program.
