Delivery Systems

Course Lectures

  • On-campus classes are recorded in our classroom/studios.
  • DVDs are mailed out immediately after the class meeting. (students receive materials within 2-4 days normally)
  • Students view the material and either return them by mail, or keep them for personal usage (not redistribution) at the professor's discretion.

Communications

  • Outreach students have immediate access to professors and classmates through the Internet. Students may contact professors prior to the beginning of classes to establish the best means of communication (e-mail, Internet). They can communicate by telephone, fax, mail, and e-mail.
  • Immediate access to professors and classmates is available through the Internet and other communications technologies. You can communicate by telephone, fax, mail and e-mail.
  • Advisors set aside designated telephone time for Engineering distance education students.
  • Additional contact is facilitated through e-mail and web sites, including commentary submissions, downloads of materials/handouts, homework assignments, etc.

Examinations

  • Students in distance education courses take examinations under the supervision of an approved proctor. Proctors are verified and exams are sent directly to the proctor who conducts the examination in a secure manner, requiring students to present a picture ID.
