Delivery Systems
Course Lectures
- Streaming video is used to deliver live broadcasts of regularly scheduled
class lectures. Lectures will also be archived so that you may retrieve
them at any convenient time.
Course Materials
- Course materials for each class are contained in WebCT. Students
will be able to access course syllabi, readings, handouts, etc. through
use of this e-learning tool.
Communications
WebCT also provides email, chat rooms and bulletin boards where students
are able to interact with instructors and classmates:
- Bulletin boards--Web pages that contain archived conversations in
text format.
- Chat rooms--A live (or synchronous) version of textual conversation
over the Internet.
- Email--Messaging that takes place privately between
two or more participants.
Examinations
- Electronic self-tests, quizzes and proctored exams are given to assess
the student's progress.
Technical Requirements
The following software will be required:
- RealPlayer
- Acrobat Reader
- PowerPoint
