Program DescriptionThe Independent Learning Program offers college-level courses for credit. This credit is usually transferable to other institutions in accordance with their regulations. All courses and instructors are approved by the appropriate University departments. Through the Independent Learning program extended option you may enroll at any time of the year and study at your own pace, at home or at any other convenient location. The term "independent learning" is used rather than correspondence since several different delivery methods are currently available. You are also independent in the sense that you have no classroom or classmates. This means, of course, that you must bring a high level of self motivation and discipline to your learning activities. Keep in mind that we are here to help you. We provide a number of ways to communicate with our office staff and with your instructor. Whenever you have a question or concern, feel free to contact us and let us help you. Remember, although you are studying at a distance, the Auburn Distance Learning staff is here to serve you! |
