Program Costs

Full payment of fees must accompany all applications. Checks and money orders must be made payable to Auburn University. Do not send cash. Enrollees outside the United States must submit payment in U.S. dollars in the form of a bank draft or a check drawn on a U.S. bank.

Extended (Nine-Month) Option $157.00 per credit hour
Registration $63.00 per course
Graded Option (AU Students Only) $176.00 per credit hour

Financial Aid

Usually, Independent Learning students are not eligible for Financial Aid. However, contact your institution's Financial Aid Office for appropriate information. The Distance Learning Office does not process financial aid applications for students.

Military Personnel and Veterans

A veteran taking Independent Learning courses may qualify for reimbursement for expenses incurred in the course, or may count an Independent Learning course as part of the regular course load for part or full-time eligibility as a student.
