Delivery Systems

Lectures

You will see the same, current lectures that on-campus students enrolled in the course see. Lectures are available in VHS and DVD formats. DVDs and videos do not have to be returned except at the request of the professor.

Course Materials

Course materials such as handouts, self-tests, quizzes, etc. are delivered in a variety of modes depending on the specific course. Popular methods include Internet\WebCT, e-mail, postal service, and fax.

Each course syllabus will contain specifics regarding course content and materials with required delivery dates.

Accessibility to all on-campus activities, library, etc. is available to you as an off-campus student upon verification of your ID.

Examinations

Graded exams require a proctor. A test proctor will be chosen jointly by you, your company and our student services office. Responsibilities of proctors include :

  • to receive, administer and return exams
  • to act as the liaison between the local facility and our student services office

The proctor is generally someone in the company who is in a supervisory or human resources position and cannot be a peer employee or someone you supervise.

Communication

Distance students have immediate access to professors and classmates via e-mail. Students may contact professors prior to the beginning of classes to establish the preferred means of communication (e-mail, Internet, telephone, fax and mail). You are encouraged to use the Internet since it is required in some classes.
