You will notice that tuition for AU distance education programs varies with each individual program. The reason for this is that the tuition for a single program is based on the cost to deliver that specific program to its students. Since each program is likely to involve its own unique set of instructional, technological, and logistics resources - its costs and ultimately its tuition - will be unique, as well.

Program cost information provided by each program is an estimated cost. On occasion, an elective taken from a department different from your major department may have a different cost structure. Once you have developed your actual program plan, you will be able to determine accurately your program costs.

Please note that tuition rates are subject to change, and normally, they do so on an annual basis by a modest percentage.

Currently, program tuition costs range from $598 to $668 per semester hour. Note that some executive programs have a different cost structure that exceeds the range provided above.
