Industrial Design and Graphic Design are hosting their annual Designing Green event March 27-28 to increase awareness of sustainability in design and to encourage the students to work together on a sustainable project. This year the project is titled "Talk Trash," with students working in teams of 12 to create an abstract sculpture that depicts a surprising fact about trash and recycling. They will present their work at 1 p.m. Friday, March 28, to a judging panel. Prizes will be awarded for the best communication, best use of materials, and most fun. A cookout will follow the event.
