Evidence of Scholarship
Debbie exceeds expectations on written assignments, homework, and class participation. She provides thoughtful analysis of current topics and issues in the field of rehabilitation.

Accomplishments in Research, Extension, and Community Service
1993 - Advocate of the Year - Asheville, NC Regional Resource Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
1994 - Advocate of the Year - Charlotte, NC Regional Resource Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
2003-04 - Counselor of the Year - Winston-Salem Unit, Department of Vocational Rehabilitation

University/Community Activities and Leadership
Debbie has served as an advocate for individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing since 1993. She has worked as a rehabilitation counselor while working on masters degree and has provided leadership to other students through her example of excellence.

Debbie has set the standard among our students as far as the quality of work provided throughout her program. She exhibits passion and a true desire to serve individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing.
