Fundraiser for 5/12 Earthquake Victims
Dear all:
AUCPA and CSO are pleased to announce that our fund raising efforts on Friday and Saturday turned out to be a huge success. Thanks to your generous donation and volunteering help, and thanks to this loving community, we were able to collect $8915 up to now (Sunday). We are now contacting Chinese Consulate General in Houston to evaluate the most reliable and efficient channel to get $ and the love as well from our Auburn Community to the desperate victims. We thank all the donors and volunteers, not only for the $, which is of course important, but for the love and care you have shown. Personally, it was such an touching experience for many of us. We are so proud of you all and this great community.
To allow more people to participate, especially those who are out of town now, we will have another collection gathering on Friday (23nd) from 3 to 5 PM at Foy Union main Entrance.
A BIG THANKS to all the volunteers - we will not mention your names here. It was all your efforts and sacrifice that make this possible.

CSO members participated in 4/26 Atlanta Rally
Dear all,
April 26 2008, some CSO members participated in Peace Rally at Atlanta in supporting 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Against CNN Media Distortion. With other friends from universities or social organizations in South-East region, we made rally very successful.

Happy Chinese New Year in Auburn
Dear all,
April 26 2008, CSO organized 2008 Auburn Chinese New Year Party. All Chinese and our friends in Auburn/Opelika community got together at Foy Union to celebrate this most important holiday in Chinese culture. Party went great. Special thanks for all of our performers and volunteers. We couldn’t make it happen without y’all!

On Feb 7, 2008, CSO participated in the school event Talent Show with three great shows: Fashion Show, Taiji performance and Erhu performance. Our volunteers impressed audiences with their wonderful performances.

Dear all,
In the past school annual event Peace Dinner, together with other international organizations, CSO provided our AU friends the delicious Chinese food. They were so popular and were the first one ran out!

Dear all,
On Nov 2, 2007, CSO participated in the school event Tiger Night. We exhibited Chinese traditional costumes and decorations, together with Chinese calligraphy performance.
