The College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM) welcomed students to its annual open house on August 28. Students had a chance to meet their advisor, learn about student organizations and enjoy refreshments.

“We look forward to the open house event each year to help students connect with the numerous services COSAM offers,” explained Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Bob Boyd.

Freshman Nadia Lane, majoring in UNSM/Pre-Med, won the event’s raffle and received a signed Gus Malzahn football.

The open house wouldn’t be complete without special appearances by Aubie and friends from Wild Animal Safari. Students had the chance to learn more about a New Guinea singing dog, a South American coatimundi, a hedgehog and more. Auburn University’s Museum of Natural History brought an Eastern indigo snake, which is non-venomous and the longest snake species in the U.S.
