PLTW State Conference

School counselors, teachers and administrators play a key role in promoting Project Lead The Way to students and parents. To successfully enroll students in appropriate PLTW courses, counselors, teachers and administrators need a solid understanding of the program and the curriculum, especially when students are considering engineering technology or health sciences as a career or have strong aptitude in science and math.

As the state's affiliate universities for Project Lead The Way (PLTW), Auburn University and the University of Alabama provide professional development annually in the form of a State Conference. School districts are encouraged to send counselors, teachers and administrators to attend the conference. This year is YOUR conference! We’ve used your feedback to greatly improve our offerings. See below for details:

The PLTW State Conference is designed to:

  • Increase knowledge of Project Lead The Way and its benefits to students
  • Increase awareness of the needs of the U.S. workforce in engineering, health sciences and related fields
  • Make connections between Project Lead The Way and post-secondary success

Who Should Attend:

School counselors and administrators from schools currently engaged in PLTW and schools interested in PLTW are encouraged to join us for this informative day. In addition, teachers will have the opportunity to network and learn alongside other PLTW teachers from schools across the state. Conference Sessions are designed to benefit both new and experienced PLTW schools.
