Athletic Event Alcohol Policy

  1. Effective August 16, 2005, individuals caught entering an athletic event in possession of and/or concealing alcohol will have their ticket privileges revoked for that game and will not be permitted to enter the event. Individuals visibly intoxicated will also not be permitted to enter the event. Those individuals caught consuming alcohol or having possession of alcohol inside the event will have their ticket privileges revoked and will be removed from the event. Students in violation of the alcohol policy will be reported to the Office of the Dean of Students for possible disciplinary action and/or counseling.

  2. Students caught violating the alcohol policy on a second occasion will be referred to the Office of the Dean of Students for disciplinary action and/or counseling and will have their season ticket privileges revoked for the year.

  3. Students caught violating the alcohol policy on a third occasion will have their season ticket privileges revoked permanently and will again face disciplinary action and/or counseling by the Office of the Dean of Students.

NOTE:

In all cases, individuals visibly intoxicated and/or those under 21 years of age found in possession of alcohol may be subject to arrest and criminal action by law enforcement officials under Alabama State Law.

A disciplinary action arising from this policy can be appealed in writing to the Dean of Students within five class days following the student's receipt of written notification of the disciplinary action.
