2008 Parking and Traffic Information

Rules & Regulations

No parking is allowed on sidewalks.

The Mell Street corridor, bound by the intersections of Thach and College, Mell and Samford, and Roosevelt and College will close to vehicular traffic three hours prior to kickoff.

No one is allowed to reserve legal, paved parking spaces in the parking decks or university parking lots. Reserving tailgating spots in grass areas using stakes, ropes, ribbons, tape, chairs, tables, tents, vehicles or other items is not allowed until 4 p.m. on Friday, except for specially-permitted University events. Items found before then are subject to removal without notice or reimbursement.

Vehicles are not allowed inside areas enclosed by bollards, posts, chains or fences. Cars in these areas or those found blocking roadways, sidewalks, emergency lanes, fire hydrants, driveways or other vehicles are subject to being towed at the owner's expense.

Vehicles are not allowed on any part of the Haley Center Concourse.

Non-university golf carts and all-terrain vehicles are not allowed on campus.

All streets must remain open to traffic and emergency vehicles, except those that are blocked by law-enforcement barricades surrounding Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Disabled Parking

Handicapped parking lot (Lot Y) opens at 8 a.m. on game days. When it fills up, fans will be directed to park at the Facilities Division on Samford Avenue. A shuttle bus is available from that location and will take fans to the Coliseum.

To use this area you will need to have a state (any state) tag, hang tag or other item that designates your vehicle for handicapped parking. Parking is free.

Lot Y is on W. Magnolia Avenue near the Credit Union, where Shuttle service is available before, during and after the game.

RV Parking Information

To prevent unsafe conditions, a number of RVs with permits will be allowed into parking areas at noon on Fridays. RVs arriving prior to their designated time may park in the large grass parking areas located at the corner of Donahue Drive and Lem Morrison Drive, beginning at 4 p.m. on Wednesdays. RVs must leave campus by 4 p.m. on Sundays.

No-RV zones remain in effect in the core area of campus and other sites. Please refer to the Game Day Map in this guide to determine which areas are designated No-RV zones.

In order to minimize dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning caused by engine exhausts from RVs, trailers or portable generators, owners should ensure that engines are properly vented. Always park in a manner that ensures adequate space between vehicles. Install carbon monoxide detectors if possible.

Solicitation on the Auburn University campus, without the express written consent of Auburn University or it's agents, is strictly prohibited.
