Tomorrow's Tech

Auburn innovations secure our information, infrastructure and homeland. Our research improves human health and performance by using technology in unexpected ways.

Protecting us from cyber criminals

Safeguarding the nation’s infrastructure, industries and sensitive information in the digital age is critical. Auburn is a global leader in cyber education and research. We protect and advance U.S. interests in the areas of cyber and critical infrastructure security by fusing theory with practice and policy with technology.

Auburn delivers innovative solutions to some of the country’s most pressing issues and prepares students for the future of the cybersecurity realm. Frank Cilluffo, director of the McCrary Institute for Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Security, shares his vast knowledge of national and homeland security strategy and policy matters to amplify Auburn’s efforts.

Motion Capture

Improving performance through tech

Motion capture might be best known for bringing digital characters to life in movies such as Avatar and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. By using the technology to study biomechanics, researchers have learned how to prevent ACL ruptures, aid movement for people with disabilities and improve soldiers’ performance.
