CMB UNDERGRADUATE SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAM
The AU-CMB program sponsors a Summer Research Scholarship program to provide talented AU undergraduate students an opportunity to conduct research during the summer quarter with a CMB faculty member.
Overview of Scholarship Programs
The AU-CMB Undergraduate Summer Research Scholarship (USRS) program was initiated in order to provide talented undergraduate students with opportunities to gain research experience with an AU-CMB faculty member. The USRS program is a ten week program open to those interested in the areas of biomedical research. Each student will work closely with an AU-CMB faculty mentor/team on a
designated
research project. It is the
student's
responsibility to contact the AU-CMB faculty that they wish to work with. The AU-CMB faculty list and contact information can be found here.
Expectations of Student Participants
Scholars will be required to attend and participate in all scheduled activities
Scholars must commit to working full-time in their
designated
lab
Scholars will be required to submit an abstract of their research
Scholars will be required to present a 10
minute
power point presentation of their research at the AU-CMB Forum at the end of the program. If the scholar is an AU student, they will also be required to present their research (powerpoint or poster format) at the AU Annual Undergraduate Research Forum, in early Spring Semester.
