COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is an introduction to as a mental health service profession which operates in a variety of settings. The course examines basic concepts in mental health, the various roles and functions of counseling professionals and the settings in which they work. Ethics and standards of the profession are addressed as well as an orientation to professional school study.
