Auburn's Top Young Professional Event

The competition for Auburn’s Top Young Professional Event (T.Y.P.E.) is underway and the contestants are battling it out to show us who has what it takes to be named Auburn’s Top Young Professional.  Two winners (one male and one female) will be announced at the Dress for Success Fashion Show and will each receive a $500 professional wardrobe from Dillard’s.

What will I need to do to compete in TYPE?

THE FASHION SHOW


The Dress for Success Fashion Show is presented courtesy of Dillard's through the coordination of the Auburn University Modeling Board and is open to all students.

Amber Menzie, a fashion expert from Dillard's, will be presenting the fashion show.

Door prizes will be given away!

MOCK INTERVIEW

After you have applied for the position in TRL, you will schedule a mock interview which will be held the week of January 21 in the Career Center.

Representatives from several local companies will assist with the interview process.

THE SPEAKER

Amber Menzie started her career with Dillard's at the age of 18 in the ladies Fragrance Department. She always wanted a career in fashion, and grew up shopping at Dillard's. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Merchandising at Texas Tech University in 2002, and after graduation, became an Assistant National Sales Manager for Treska, Inc., a Jewlery and Home Accessory manufacturer. In 2004, Amber returned to Dillard's, as an Assistant Sales Manager in Dallas. From there she has been an Area Sales Manager, Assistant Store Manager, a Store Manager, and currently is the Director of Stores Assistant for the Alabama and Georgia region. She has worked in a total of 10 different Dillard's stores, and has personal experience in every aspect of a Dillard's Department Store.
