Congratulations to Riley Spahn on winning the NGCSU mountain bike time trial at Bull Mountain. Riley also turned in impressive performances in the short track and cross country races in the mens B's. Mark Cianciosa got 6th in the time trial.

March 15th-16th 2008

Congratulations to Bill Fiser for winning his first mass start race. Bill got in a mid-race break-away after the field splintered. The first road race ended up being canceled from the threat of tornados.

March 8th and 9th 2008

Congratulations to Bill Fiser on winning the Georgia Tech Men's B Time Trial. He also placed 6th and 7th in the road races. Kyle and Sam both rode strong in the Men's As finishing mid pack in the time trial. Sam had a top ten finish on the first road race day, but was DQed on the second day for taking a feed out of the feed zone. Laura finished 2nd overall in the first road Race.

March 1st and 2nd 2008

The UGA race went well this weekend for Bill Fiser and Sam Gwin. In the Time trial Sam finished 3rd and Bill finished 7th. In the road race Sam unfortunately dropped his chain on a climb on the last lap but Bill was 5th in the sprint and ended up 11th overall. In the crit Bill put in a valiant effort with three laps to go but was caught on the next lap. Sam Gwin ended up 9th in the crit and got 4th on the 3rd prime. The Flyers would like to Cancer survivor and hopefully returning flyer Sam Haygood and his family for their gracious hospitality.

February 10th 2008

The Flyers survived the crit unscaved. Phillip Weems was able to hang on for most of the C's race. Bill Fiser got impeded by a crash on the final lap and missed the final sprint as a result. The Jill Westerholm and Laura Steele both finished with the pack. Results will be posted when they are available.

February 9th 2008

The Flyers started their road season with Bill Fiser scoring a fourth place finish in the individual time trial in the Mens B. Mark Cianciosa finished 20th in mens B's. In the womens race Laura Steele finished 6th and Jill Westerholm finished 10th.

October 21st 2007

With the exception of a dog related incident the 2007 Chris Hinds/Tour De Has Been weekend went of great. Congratulations go out to current member Bill Fiser for winning the both the $2 time trial and the hairy leg award. The Flyers would like to thank former member Paul Swift for donating his time to preform bike fittings.

Congratulations to Auburn's own GW for winning this weekends 3rd Humidity Festival time trial. We has an excellent turnout this time. Results will be posted here soon.

The mountain bike team records its second win. Mark Cianciosa won the mens C XC race. This was also the first collegiate race for Kurt Smith, Nathan and Anna Lucy. All the riders completed the race including Anna who ran across the line after suffering a flat tire.

The mountain bike team records its first win from 2007 season. Mark Cianciosa won the mens C TT with his first career win.
