Our mission:

The Mission of the Auburn Band Summer Camps is to provide students with an opportunity to enjoy learning from prominent instrumental music educators, making music with musicians around the nation, and working with the outstanding summer camp faculty. Our desire is to see students grow as musicians, leaders, and individuals to further enrich their lives.

Frequenty Asked Questions:

  • What is the cost of participation?
    • Regular resident (overnight) tuition is $325, which is due by May 20th. Early bird tuition is due by May 1st and reduces the price to $300.
    • Commuter tuition is $225.
  • Does the application need to be post marked or in your possession by the due date?
    • The application must be post marked by May 15th for early bird tuition.
  • Does full payment need to accompany the application?
    • Yes, a check or money order for the full amount must accompany the application.
  • Who do I make the check out to?
    • A check or Money Order should be made payable to: NBA Summer Band Camps
  • How much extra money do we need to bring?
    • All meals and activities are covered in the fee, however, if you would like to buy additional drinks or snacks, you should bring enough to cover that. We will also be a making a trip to the bookstore and Toomer’s Corner, so you should bring as much much money as you feel is appropriate for that.
  • How well are the students supervised?
    • The students are very well supervised. The campers are
      supervised to and from all activities. They are assigned college student chaperones. The chaperones walk them to and from activities and even eat in the cafeteria with them. They also act as dorm counselors and there are adult staff members who will be at all activities.
  • Is there a bus that will bring my student to Auburn?
    • No, you will have to provide your own transportation to and from Auburn.
  • What does Commuting mean?
    • Commuting means that you don’t stay the night. You have to provide your own transportation to and from campus each day. It is only recommended if you live close to Auburn or will stay with a friend who live close.
  • What is included in Resident/Commuter Tuition?
    • Residents & commuters have the opportunity to participate in all the same activities during the day and will receive a t-shirt and medal.
    • Resident Students will receive 3 meals per day as well as overnight accommodations in the dormitories. Commuter Students will have lunch and dinner provided and be responsible for their own transportation to and from campus each day.
  • Do students need to bring their own equipment?
    • All students are responsible for providing their own instruments, including percussion. Auxiliaries are also responsible for bringing their own flags and batons.
  • Is there a dress code?
    • Students participating in outdoor activities (such as Marching & auxiliary camps) should dress for the weather. However, extremely revealing attire is not appropriate. Mid-drift tops and short- shorts should be left at home. It is also suggested that students bring hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottles and/or personal coolers.
    • For the final performance, students will wear khaki shorts and the official camp t-shirt.
  • My student is going into 9th grade. Should they attend the middle school or high school concert camp?
    • Ninth grade students have the option of attending either concert camp. We suggest you ask your band director to see which they feel would be most appropriate for your child.
  • My student is going into 8th grade, but wants to attend one of the high school camps. Can you make an exception?
    • Sorry, no exceptions can be made on the grade level policy.
  • I wish to cancel my registration.  Am I able to receive a refund?
    • In order to make the proper preparations for our summer camps, we are unable to offer refunds for canceled registrations after June 1.  We apologize for the inconvenience.
