Graduate Assistante-mail: tek0004@auburn.edu Taylor Keeton is currently a first year Graduate Assistant with the Auburn University Bands and is pursuing a Master of Music Education degree. She graduated from Auburn in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. While at Auburn, she served as Principal Flute of the Auburn University Symphonic Band, Piccolo Section Leader in the Auburn University Marching Band, and was a member of the flute ensemble. Ms. Keeton studied Applied Flute with Dr. Karen Garrison and studied conducting with Dr. Johnnie Vinson and Dr. Rick Good. She was also a member of CMENC and Sigma Alpha Iota where she served as President and Vice President of Ritual. Upon graduating, Ms. Keeton served as the Band Director at Phenix City Intermediate School and Assistant Band Director at Central High School from 2006-2009. At PCIS she taught 6th Grade Beginning Band and 7th Grade Intermediate Band. While Assisting at CHS, she worked with the Red Devil Regiment and the Red Devil Regiment II which was an auditioned group of students to compete at marching contests and received consistent superior ratings. She also conducted the CHS Symphonic Band and served as a flute soloist at their winter concert in 2006.
