Elizabeth Haynes

Piccolo
e-mail: hayneep@auburn.edu

Hey guys! My name is Elizabeth Haynes and I am one of the piccolo section leaders for the 09-10 season. I am from Wedowee, Alabama and graduated from Randolph County High School in 2006. I am a senior in Music Education and because of that, I spend most of my time participating in anything involving music, including other ensembles at Auburn such as the Symphonic Band, Woodwind Quintet and Auburn Community Orchestra. This will be my second year as section leader and I couldn’t be more excited! I love the AUMB and have made so many wonderful memories and lifelong friendships because of it. I’m looking forward to meeting all of you and I hope you will enjoy your time in the AUMB as much as I have! War Eagle!

Hey! I’m Rebecca Gaskins, and I am one of the piccolo section leaders. I’m a junior majoring in Accounting. I am from Birmingham, and I attended Oak Mountain High School. The AUMB is a great way to get involved and get adjusted to college life. You get to meet a lot of really cool people, and it’s just so much fun to be a part of!

Catie Virgin

Clarinet
e-mail: virgicj@auburn.edu

I am Catie Virgin from Pinson Valley, Al. I graduated from Pinson Valley High School. I am a Music Education major and I love it. I have been in the AUMB for four years and this is my second year as section leader. My favorite thing about the AUMB is at the end of every foot ball game no matter what the outcome we all join arms to sing the Alma Mater. War Eagle!

Kari Todd

Clarinet
e-mail: kat0002@auburn.edu

Hey my name is Kari Todd from Mobile, Alabama. I graduated from Baker High School in 2007. I am going to be a junior majoring in Microbiology, Pre-Optometry. I have been a member of the AUMB for two years and I am also a member of Tau Beta Sigma, an honorary band sorority. My favorite thing about being a member of the AUMB is all of the traditions, like linking up and singing the Alma Mater after almost every band function and of course Pre-Game! War Eagle!!!

Trey Spearman

Alto Saxophone
e-mail: speartp@auburn.edu

My name is Trey Spearman and I am a Marine Biology major.  I’m from Birmingham, AL and went to Oak Mountain High School.  One of my favorite pass times is taking pictures of nature and animals.  I have worked with many animals on campus like anemones and anemonefish, and I hope to care for marine mammals after I graduate.  The Auburn University Marching Band is a fantastic experience because it gives you an instant family before you even begin classes.  It’s a concentrated version of the Auburn Family that this university runs on.

Lauren Wortendyke

Alto Saxophone
e-mail: lmw0002@auburn.edu

Hey everyone! My name is Lauren Wortendyke and I am one of the alto sax section leaders this year. I’m a rising junior majoring in pre-pharmacy. Right now my family is living in Huntsville (I graduated from Huntsville High), but I’ve moved around a bit. I’ve also lived in Ohio, Michigan, and California. When I’m not studying, you can typically find me hanging out with my friends, listening to music, reading, watching the show Friends, taking random pictures, or decorating my apartment with some crazy piece of artwork that I thought up. I hate it when I’m bored, so I try to stay as busy as possible. For that reason, the AUMB has been a perfect fit for me. I love the fact that this organization has made it so easy for me to form strong and lasting friendships with people I would have otherwise probably never met. The sense of family that I feel whenever I am around my fellow band members is a privilege that I will be grateful for forever.

Hi guys, my name is Andrew Moyer and I am the section leader for the tenor saxophone section. I am a senior majoring in Supply Chain Management and picking up a minor in Aviation Management. My hometown is Cary, North Carolina and I transferred to Auburn from East Carolina University after my freshman year. I currently work at the Auburn University Bookstore and I am involved with several organizations on campus including the Auburn Supply Chain Management Association and College Republicans. I was also an SOS Orientation Leader in 2006 and 2007. In addition to all of this, I am a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi. Finally, I enjoy anything involving sports and being outdoors…if it is sunny out you will not find me inside. Welcome to Auburn and War Eagle!
