Hannah O’Marye-mail: omaryhl@auburn.edu Hey everyone! I am Hannah O’Mary, and I am one of this year’s AUMB R.A.T. Leaders! This season marks my 4th year as a member of the piccolo section, and my 2nd year as a R.A.T. Leader. I am from a tiny place called Winfield, Alabama and went to Hubbertville High School, which is quite tiny, as well. In fact, the AUMB is actually bigger than my entire high school, and there are more members in the piccolo section than students in my graduating class. Besides marching band, I love being involved with things on campus. I am a sister of Omega Phi Alpha, a national service sorority dedicated to helping the university and community. I also am a Peer Instructor for the College of Science and Mathematics and a COSAM Leader, meaning if you’re in COSAM….you will probably see me around. This fall I will be a senior in Laboratory Technology, with plans on attending either pharmacy or medical school after graduation. I hope you all are super excited about being a part of the AUMB. It’s an experience that I could not even imagine my college life without and I hope you all are looking forward to the incredible memories and friends that you are about to make. The AUMB has been what I’ve considered my special place in the Auburn family, and has encouraged me to become more actively involved on Auburn’s campus, and I anticipate that it will hold the same rewarding experiences for you. I look forward to meeting you all! War Eagle! |

Greg Abernathye-mail: gpa0001@auburn.edu Hey guys, My name is Greg Abernathy and I am super excited about the opportunity to be one of your R.A.T. Leaders this year! I guess I will start with a little bit about myself. I graduated from Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, AL. This fall, I will be a junior in Mechanical Engineering. This fall will also be my third year with the AUMB, all of which have been with the trumpet section. In addition to the Marching Band, I have been a member of the Basketball Pep Band for the past two years, the Concert Band this past spring, and am a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi. I hope you are as excited as I am about preseason camp and the upcoming season, it’s gonna be a good one! I have so many great memories from my past two seasons and I can’t wait to make more. Being in the AUMB is truly special and something you don’t want to miss out on. If you haven’t made up your mind yet or have any questions at all, send one of us an e-mail and we will be more than happy to help. Have a great summer and we hope to see you in August! War Eagle! |

Chloe Hobdye-mail: hobdycn@auburn.edu Hello all! My name is Chloe Hobdy and I am so excited to serve you as one of the band’s R.A.T. leaders. Originally from the small town of Ashland, AL, I have been a member of the AUMB Tenor Sax section for the past 3 years. I am currently a senior majoring in English with a minor in Religious Studies, and I participate in several other organizations around campus, including The Auburn Circle (Auburn’s literary and design magazine), St. Michael’s Catholic Student Organization, and Kappa Kappa Psi. As this is my first year as a R.A.T. leader, I will be trying just as hard as you all to make the 09-10 R.A.T. class run as smoothly as possible. Don’t be scared at the prospect of meeting such a big group of people on the first day of band camp. The AUMB welcomes you with open arms, ecstatic at the prospect of making the band better by simply having you around. The band is full of students from different majors and backgrounds, so it is nearly impossible not to find someone who shares your unique interests and talents within the first few days of camp. Get ready for an AUsome time on the Plains and on the field. It’s going to be an amazing ride for us all, filled with the people and music that makes the AUMB so extraordinary. God Bless and War Eagle!! |

Chris Martine-mail: clm0001@auburn.edu Hey there, What’s up, and Hola! Quick! What’s 6 feet tall, eats everything in sight, and LOVES Auburn?….ME. I’m Christopher Lee Martin- the first- from Huntsville, AL (better known as Chris). I graduated from Buckhorn High School in New Market, AL, the watercrest capital of the world. This coming fall I will be entering my Junior year as a pre-nursing major here at Auburn. As a third year member of the AUMB, I’ve been fortunate enough to experience many things that are uniquely Auburn like Tigerwalk and the Four Corners Pep-Rally. This is my first year as a RAT leader, but I’ve got some GREAT partners in this so I’m sure we’ll all enjoy the ride. If any of you find my name familiar, it may be because I’m the lead singer of the band Coldplay…. Or because I gave you a campus tour while fulfilling my duties as an AU Student Recruiter. As an AU Student Recruiter I get the AU-Some opportunity to give prospective students and their families a closer look at what all Auburn has to offer. Feel free to ask me anything…and I do mean ANYTHING about Auburn and I probably know the answer or at least can tell you where to find it. I’m also a member of Kappa Kappa Psi, one of the many organizations that greatly contribute to the AU Music Department. I’m REALLY glad that you guys are interested in joining the Auburn family and being a part of the AUMB. If you have any questions at all, or you just want to chat it up sometime, feel free to email me or look me up on Facebook, I check both WAY too often. I look forward to seeing all of you at Preseason Camp. Peace, Love, and Wwwwaaaaarrrrrrr EAGLE! |
