This summer’s Campus Band concert will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at the Municipal Park in Opelika. The concert will be part of the "Summer Swing" outdoor concert series hosted by the Opelika Parks and Recreation Department. Selections for the outdoor concert will include highlights from the Broadway musical, "Wicked," arranged by Jay Bocook. In celebration of Independence Day, the ensemble will perform "Concord" written by Clare Grundman. This composition features three traditional tunes from old New England: "The White Cockade," "America" and "Yankee Doodle." The concert will conclude with the march, "Host of Freedom," composed by Karl King. The concert is free to the public. In case of inclement weather, no make-up concert will take place.
