Campus Band Concert tonight

This summer’s Campus Band concert will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at the Municipal Park in Opelika. The concert will be part of the "Summer Swing" outdoor concert series hosted by the Opelika Parks and Recreation Department. Selections for the outdoor concert will include highlights from the Broadway musical, "Wicked," arranged by Jay Bocook. In celebration of Independence Day, the ensemble will perform "Concord" written by Clare Grundman. This composition features three traditional tunes from old New England: "The White Cockade," "America" and "Yankee Doodle." The concert will conclude with the march, "Host of Freedom," composed by Karl King. The concert is free to the public. In case of inclement weather, no make-up concert will take place.

The Symphonic Winds Spring Concert: CARMEN

The Auburn University Symphonic Winds would like to invite you to their 2009 Spring Concert.  Carmen, which includes works from Bizet’s signature opera, will be held on Friday, April 17th at the Opelika Performing Arts Center as a part of the Alabama All-State Festival.  For more details and a map, please refer to the full post.  We hope to see you there! Sounds of Auburn 2008

The Auburn University College of Liberal Arts and Department of Music proudly presents the Sounds of Auburn.  Featuring the Auburn University Singers, Marching Band, Chamber Choir, Steel Band, Symphonic Band, and Gospel Choir, the Sounds of Auburn showcases the finest music ensembles at Auburn University.  The concert begins at 7:30pm on Thursday, November 13th, at Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum.
