Now accepting recommendations for High School and Junior High Symphonic Honor Bands

The Auburn University Bands is proud to announce that we are accepting recommendations for our 19th Annual Symphonic Honor Band for High School students and our first ever Symphonic Honor Band for Junior High students.  The festivals will take place on February 11-13, 2010 for the high school festival and February 4-6, 2010 for the junior high festival.  For full details on these festival and to download a recommendation form for your deserving students, please visit the Symphonic Honor Band for High School Students or Symphonic Honor Band for Junior High Students webpage.

GAMEDAY: Vs. Kentucky

Upcoming Auburn University Chamber Winds Concert this Thursday

The Auburn University Department of Music and the Auburn University Bands are proud to present the Auburn University Chamber Winds and Percussion in an evening of diverse music for small ensembles. Two concerts will take place, the first on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 7:30 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Opelika, and the second on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 7:30 p.m., at the Opelika Performing Arts Center. GAMEDAY: At Tennessee

The Auburn Tigers will take to the road for the first time this season to challenge the Tennessee Volunteers at their own stadium this Saturday.  The full Auburn University Marching Band will also travel up to Knoxville to cheer on their Tigers to what we hope will be our first away win and second SEC victory of the season. GAMEDAY: Vs. Ball State (Marching Honor Band)

The Auburn Tigers weathered the storm last weekend to boost their record to 3-0.  Our favorite football team will now take on the Ball State Cardinals this Saturday.  The Auburn University Marching Band will host its Marching Honor Band that same day, providing a special halftime show that showcases the talent of hundreds of top high school marching band students alongside the AUMB.  Marching Honor Band participants can learn more about Gameday details by visiting the Marching Honor Band webpage.  Gameday details for our other fans follows after the break. Auburn University Marching Honor Band Registration Packets

For those of you who were selected to participate in the 2009 Auburn University Marching Honor Band on Saturday, September 26th, we’ve just posted registration packets to download and print.  In order to participate in the festival, we need to receive the included release form, along with the registration fee, by Tuesday, September 22nd.  For full details, please visit the Marching Honor Band page.
