Congratulations Honor Band participants! You are about to participate in one of Auburn’s newest traditions, an experience which is truly AUsome! Before you arrive this weekend, here are a few reminders and important links about our Marching Honor Band festival. Important information for colorguard participants added 9/4.

Update for Colorguard Participants
High School Colorguard members participating in this weekend’s Marching Honor Band festival should take note that they need to bring the following: one silver pole 5 1/2 ft tall marked with your name on the bottom (6ft also acceptable), and flag tape (black or white). Please do not bring a silk; we will provide flag silks for you to use. Thanks!

Sheet Music / Choreography:
Sheet Music and Choreography has been made available on our News page over the past week.
Percussion:
We’d like to remind our percussionists to download all of the music and have it attached to your instrument when you arrive. Try reducing the music on a photocopier and taping it to your drum. If you can memorize some of it - so much the better! This will save us valuable time, and allow us to rehearse more for the show. Sheet music for percussionists is available here.
Because of the extreme number of people getting on and off the field as well as strict SEC rules concerning the timing of halftime, we are unable to use keyboard instruments (mallets) for this event. We apologize for the inconvenience, and ask that anyone attending hoping to play a mallet instrument, please bring a pair of cymbals instead to perform on.
The competition in the percussion section was extremely close and we only selected about 50 percussionists. Percussionists are expected to bring their own instrument. Auburn Bands will not supply any instruments to honor band participants. Please insure that your instrument it is in good working condition; we will not have spare heads, sticks, or mallets to distribute.
Miscellaneous Info:
- There is a small chance of rain. Be prepared with your own appropriate rain gear. No umbrellas are allowed.
- Also, do not bring any video cameras, backpacks, purses or umbrellas to the game. This will significantly slow the entire band’s entrance into the stadium, as the stadium staff will search each bag entering. Do not leave any valuables at the band hall because they cannot be protected. It is best to leave everything in your vehicle.
- Anyone who has not paid the $40 participation fee and/or not turned in the appropriate waiver form will not be allowed to participate in the day’s events.
If you have any last minute questions, please call the band office at (334) 844-4166. WAR EAGLE!
