Welcome to the 2008 Preseason Camp page, your source for information on the preseason band camp for the Auburn University Marching Band. This page will be updated periodically over the summer with details on our 2008 camp, so keep an eye on the site for the latest news.
Preseason Camp Dates
The complete dates for this year’s Preseason Camp are Wednesday, August 6 to Sunday, August 17. However, different sections of the band will arrive to camp for registration at different times.

- Percussion/Tiger Eyes: August 8, 8:00-9:00 AM
- New Members (R.A.T.s): August 8, 10:00 AM-Noon
- Returning Members (Vets): August 9, 12:30-2:30 PM

Housing Info
The Auburn University Bands will cover the cost of early check-in for on-campus residents who will be participating in our Preseason Marching Band Camp. Those students that are assigned to the Hill Residence Halls must check in on August 7th, either from 1:00-2:30 or 3:30-5:00, depending on the time that is assigned. Those students assigned to Quad or Extension Dorms must check-in on August 8th, sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. New woodwind and brass players will also have to register for Preseason Camp and complete an audition on the morning of the 8th, so plan your day carefully!
After receiving your residence hall assignment, email University Housing at housing@auburn.edu to let them know that you will need an early check-in. Include the following in the email:
- Name
- Student/Banner ID
- “I will be attending Preseason Band Camp”
- The residential area you are assigned to (Hill, Quad, or Extension)
- The building you are assigned to
- The day you will be checking in (based on the area you are assigned)
- Your email address (preferably your Tigermail @auburn.edu address)

It’s important to note that those with off-campus housing must arrange early move-in times with their realtor on their own. If you cannot move into your apartment early, contact your section leader to find a place to stay in Auburn during Preseason Camp until you are allowed to move in to your own place.
