AREA V:
PRE-PROFESSIONAL MAJOR AND ELECTIVE COURSES FOR A MAJOR IN SUPPLY CHAIN
MANAGEMENT
All majors in
Business are 123 semester hours. The maximum number of hours that the
student may transfer is 61 semester hours.
· It is highly recommended that students take: o PHL 206 or IDS 102 in area II o SPH 106 or SPH 107 in area II o MTH 112 or MTH 120 in area III o Introduction to Anthropology (ANT
200), General Psychology (PSY 200), -OR- Introduction to Sociology (SOC 200)
in area IV if HIS 201 or HIS 202 taken
in area IV o
ECO 231 and ECO 232 in area IV o
CIS 146 or CIS 147 in area V ·
Courses recommended in
Areas I-IV but not taken should be completed under Area V: o Students should take MTH 120, if
not already taken in area III o College of Business students must
complete either 2 sequential core literature courses (in area II) or 2 sequential core history courses
(in area IV). Students who not
complete one of these required sequences in area II or IV should do so in
area V. ·
Specific Business program requirements o
Students planning to major in Aviation Management or
Flight Management should complete PHY 201 and PHY 202 in area III ·
Restrictions
on transfer courses: o Developmental, remedial, or
technical courses will not transfer o Students should not take
Principles of Marketing or Principles of Finance o
Students who complete the STARS Guide – taking MTH 112 in
area III and MTH 120 is area V - will earn only 2 degree applicable hours of
credit for CIS 146 (or CIS 147) in order to stay within the 61 hour transfer
maximum. o
Students who complete the STARS Guide and complete MTH 125
in lieu of MTH 120 in area V will earn only 3 degree applicable hours of
credit for MTH 125 in order to stay within the 61 hour transfer maximum. o
A maximum of four semester hours of physical education may
transfer
