AREA
V: PRE-PROFESSIONAL MAJOR AND ELECTIV COURSES FOR FORESTRY MAJORS
AT AUBURN UNIVERSITY
(17
or 18 Semester Hours)

to transfer up to 17 (if they choose BUS 241) or 18 (if they choose PHY 201
or 213) hours from Area V for this 129/130 hour program.
Students transferring more than
30 hours from all areas (I-V) should contact the Student Services Office in the School of Forestry and
Wildlife Sciences before completing the 30 hours to make sure they meet the
course requirements for Summer Practicum (dfd0003@auburn.edu or the webpage https://sites.auburn.edu/academic/sfws/students/summer/Pages/default.aspx).
Summer Practicum is the
beginning of the professional degree program with specific course
requirements and serves as a prerequisite for all the required courses in the
junior and senior years.

addition to the Area II requirements. ·

No
transfer credit will be awarded for math courses below MTH 125 – Calculus. Students
not transferring a calculus course are strongly encouraged to have completed all
pre-calculus courses (MTH 100, MTH 112, and MTH 113) prior to transferring. ·
Developmental,
remedial, or technical courses will not transfer. ·
Other
courses offered at your community college, including courses that are listed in
Area V for other majors, may be accepted. However, students must petition Auburn
University to pre-approve any additions to Area V by contacting Mr. Dale
Dickens at dfd0003@auburn.edu. It must
be noted that courses that are equivalent to upper level courses at Auburn
University (3000 level and above) are generally not accepted for transfer
credit.
