AREA
V: PRE-PROFESSIONAL MAJOR AND ELECTIVE COURSES FOR A MAJOR IN
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
All majors in Business are 123 semester hours. The
maximum number of hours that the student may transfer is 61 semester
hours. Students completing the STARS transfer guide for Business should
not take the second course in statistics.

It is highly recommended that students select Ethics
(PHIL 206 Ethics and Society-- 3 SH or IDS 102 Ethics—3 SH) in Area II. ·
Students
who complete all areas of the AGSC
Transfer Guide need only one History
course in Area IV. Students who do not
complete all areas of the Guide will
be required to complete two sequential History courses for the Business degree.

It is highly recommended that students complete Math 120 Calculus
and Its Applications (3 SH) or Math 125 Calculus I (4 SH) prior to
transferring. · It is highly recommended that student complete BUS 271 Statistics (3 SH) prior to transferring.

A
maximum of one computer course may transfer: CIS 146 Microcomputer Applications (3 SH) or CIS 147 Advanced
Microcomputer Applications (3 SH). Other requirements:

Students who started their
(post-high school graduation) college career prior to Summer 2006 must maintain
a cumulative Auburn GPA of 2.20 or higher in order to take business courses. Students who started their (post-high school graduation)
college career Summer 2006 or later must enter a College of Business ‘gate’ in
order to declare their major and take upper-division business courses.

Transfer Guide. Together, this document and the AGSC Transfer Guide comprise
