AREA V:   PRE-PROFESSIONAL MAJOR AND ELECTIVE COURSES FOR A MAJOR IN BUSINESS  

All majors in Business are 123 semester hours.  The maximum number of hours that the student may transfer is 61 semester hours.  Students completing the STARS transfer guide for Business should not take the second course in statistics. 

Students who plan to transfer into the College of Business should take into consideration the following recommendations as they plan their course selection: 

· It is highly recommended that students select  Ethics (PHIL 206 or IDS 102) in area II. 

· It is highly recommended that students complete Math 120 or 125 and Statistics (BUS 271) prior to transferring to Auburn.  

· It is highly recommended that students planning to pursue a degree in accounting or finance select the Principles of Accounting l & ll sequence (BUSI 241 and BUSI 242.

Other requirements:
Students entering Auburn Fall 2006 and thereafter must meet the requirements of an entry gate, based on the number of hours completed, to take any upper division courses for a major or minor. 


Please print this document and attach it to the Business AGSC Transfer Guide. Together, this document and the AGSC Transfer Guide comprise the articulation agreement for a major in Business at Auburn.
